Let's face it, leasing apartments isn't all that easy. There can be many factors that make leasing very challenging. Maybe the pricing is a bit too high, or maybe your apartment building doesn't have all the amenities that tenants are looking for.

Honestly, whatever the case may be, let's quit making excuses and learn how to become a leasing boss.

This may sound a little cliche, but it all starts with mindset. Yes, the same corny phrase applies to leasing apartments. Bottom line is, if you want to get GREAT at leasing apartments, it starts with mindset.

I cannot stress how many times I have noticed leasing agents come into work with a bad mindset.

I get it- maybe there is a lot of pressure coming from upper management regarding leasing activity. But do you really think that you are going to get more leases by having a negative mindset?

The next most important secret to leasing more apartments is simply FOLLOW UP!

I cannot stress how important this part of leasing is. If you don't follow up, then you can pretty much expect to get no leases. Unless you are literally giving away your apartments fro free, then don't expect tenants to come knocking at your door asking to sign a lease.

YOU NEED TO EARN THAT LEASE.
